“PORTLAND, Ore. — Providence researchers in Portland submitted a request to the Food and Drug Administration for the first clinical trial of a viral COVID-19 vaccine.
The Earl A. Chiles Research Institute (EACRI) at Providence’s Robert W. Franz Cancer Center is using its knowledge of cancer vaccine immunotherapy to develop a vaccine against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.”
